“YARIA” was born in Hampton, VA and grew up on the Eastside of Atlanta, Ga. Her music passions began when she was growing up in church praise dancing, singing in the choir, and playing the drums. Her family impacted her also with their many talents and support for her gifts. When she moved to Atlanta, her keyboard traveled with her, becoming her new profound love. She also joined her middle school band in 6th grade in which she played the flute. Ya’Ria started producing her own music when she was in high school, after experiencing an ACL injury that required her to take a break from playing basketball. Her passion for creating her own beats quickly expanded which also led her to writing her own music. What first felt like only a dream was now becoming a reality, all because of discovering her new musical expression. Her singles “721” and “Better Without You” shares some of her vulnerability. YARIA’s art has given her the voice she was always afraid to use and share. It has become a sacred space to embrace her true emotions and express the depth of life experiences. She looks forward to bringing her authentic heartfelt vibes to the ATL Minifest stage, which will be her first solo performance!
