My name is Blake LaBarge (La La LaBarge) and I’m the leader of La La and the Gents. We are a seven-piece instrumental band based in the Twin Cities of Minnesota that plays creative and energetic covers of recognizable tunes, as well as original music! We are in our younger 20’s and have been playing together since 2022. Our sound is full of energy, and it shows when we hit the stage! The band consists of three horns (trombone, trumpet, sax) and a rhythm section (guitar, bass, keys, drums).

We have performed for some very notable events, including twice for the University of Minnesota Marching Band’s Indoor Concert and twice on the big stage for the University of Minnesota’s Spring Jam for the Battle of the Bands! We also jam out at local bars, breweries, music venues, weddings and private events.

Our goal is to spread joy and happiness through the power of music whenever we perform. That’s why we make sure every performance is unique and special. My style of writing highlights a high-energy vibe mixed with elements of jazz that showcases our improvisation chops, which  makes people want to move around and dance.
