About the Band

VILJAR RØYSI

Artist, Singer/Songwriter

Viljar Røysi is a 25-year-old Norwegian country and rock artist blending Americana and roots influences with the storytelling traditions of small-town Norway. With more than seven years of live performance experience, he has built a reputation for energetic, compelling shows and a strong connection with his audience.

In 2025, he completed a nationwide summer tour across Norway, performing in cities and festival settings before closing the year with a sold-out New Year’s Eve concert, a defining milestone that underscored his growing momentum as a live artist.

For nearly two years, Viljar has been based in Nashville, actively immersing himself in the city’s songwriting culture and collaborative music community. This experience has not only sharpened his craft but also clarified his long-term vision: to build a sustainable musical bridge between Nashville and small-town Norway, creating opportunities for cross-cultural collaboration within country music.

His latest single, “My Time to Go,” has received radio play on stations in both the United States and Norway, reflecting his expanding international footprint. In 2024, he wrote and performed the official theme song for the Student Speed Skating World Championships, demonstrating both his versatility as a songwriter and his ability to deliver music for large-scale international platforms.

Committed to artistic growth, global collaboration, and long-term impact, Viljar Røysi represents a new generation of Scandinavian country artists working to connect local roots with the broader international music industry.

One community at a time, showcasing independent artists in a festival-style experience.
