Since the creation of SHAKLAB in 2019, original members Merle the HERMIT (formerly SRWG) and Russ Jamerson set out to gather a collective of unique artists and creatives from around the Bay Area.

Starting with their first experimental project “Sketches”, Russ and Merle have released 2 projects as “The Fabulous Unkwn””-“Other Side” and “Articles”. Later, each would release a solo project. The collective has expanded to collaborating with the likes of (but not limited to) Max Abrahams, Jorge Salazar, Joey Waterman, Reese Osborn, DAN-Kerman, Kri$ Wood$, Luc the Vinyl Painter, Sunny Mitchell, Parade Garden, David Guzman, The Faxsion, East Bay Soup Kitchen, Weez for 2B Stylez, Angie Johnson for KG Visuals, and more.
