Khaila Jai is an Atlanta-based emerging R&B artist, born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina. Her sound bridges eras—blending the nostalgic warmth and melodic richness of 2000s R&B with the calm, lo-fi textures that define the 2020s. The result is music that feels both familiar and refreshingly new.

Born with a rare congenital spinal condition called Sacral Agenesis, Khaila Jai’s childhood looked different from most. Unable to participate in many of the physical activities typical for children, she found solace in the arts—most notably, music. What began as refuge quickly became purpose.

Today, Khaila Jai is recognized for “actively creating space for disabled voices and underrepresented bodies, challenging outdated ideas of beauty, desirability, and visibility within the R&B landscape. Her artistry extends beyond sound; it is a statement of presence, softness, and power.”

Khaila Jai is only just getting started. In 2026, she is focused on expanding her visibility, deepening her community, and releasing her debut EP, Late Bloom.
