Ivory Hecker is an Indy Americana musician. She has five records out and plays live shows around Houston. She’s been playing classical guitar since her early teens, but it wasn’t until age 30 that songs started to appear on the strings of her guitar, sent from a higher realm, it seemed. Many of them would appear in her sleep, with the chords, lyrics and melody flowing effortlessly. So she became a songwriter. Much of her music is about love, loss and taking a positive direction amid adversity.
