Lise is the eponymous project of Annalise McLarnon, a lifelong musician and lyricist since her childhood, which she spent singing in a choir, listening to her family’s eclectic record collection, and after turning 13, experimenting with songwriting, guitar, and piano. Momentum started building seriously after a chance 2020 meeting with TYSHii, an old school acquaintance who’d seen one of her first Instagram uploads. Within a week, they were recording her track Bitter Rain, followed soon after by her first EP, Runaways.

With a refined signature sound developed over almost a decade of creative distillation, lise’s sonic identity sits mainly within the indie-pop canon, with nods to alt-pop and other pop subgenres. Influenced by artists from The Traveling Wilburys and ABBA to Dua Lipa and Remi Wolf, Annalise is pioneering a creative and colorful approach to audiovisual storytelling, experimenting with quirky subjects and visually striking music videos that inspire her fans to tap into their own creativity while feeling welcome and understood.

Now, having already released 5 music videos and successful tracks, including “emotional”, which received 370k+ Spotify streams, lise is preparing for a big year ahead. Several singles and her debut album, as well as plans for gigs at a range of popular venues, are currently in the works while lise continues to cultivate her diverse and growing fanbase and build up her reputation as a performing artist in the Philadelphia music scene.
