MØNTE also known as Sophia Montalbano, is a singer/songwriter from Red Bank, NJ. She has been apart of the music scene since she was 15 years old, and has played all over the U.S including Asbury Park, NJ, New Haven, CT and Nashville, TN. She started gaining traction in 2017 with the release of her debut EP “EGO” through MOTO Records (a student run record label in Lake House Music Academy) located in Asbury Park, NJ. She has continued to hone her songwriting and audio skills while attending the University of New Haven, where she graduated spring of 2022. While there, she released another EP “Utopia” and single “Yellow ’97”.  At the University of New Haven, she was the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of a band called “Killing Monte”, as well as the lead singer for another band  “Garden State”. The bands performed at many school functions and around the New Haven area. She also spent a semester in Nashville, Tennessee studying audio at Blackbird studios and interning at Sound Stage Studios. Currently she resides in Red Bank, NJ and has an active performance schedule.
